Tripping to old haunts.
Camera: K-5 Optio90WR Photo Location: ALgonquin Park, Ontario Canada

From a recent canoe trip... a few more days and we head back out, one of our busiest seasons ever.

I've been going to Booth Lake for 30 years, probably more than ten trips there in all, and my first trip ever to the park was there, when my kids were 3 and 5 years old. But I had been back only once in over 10 years. Then in the last two weeks I took two trip there. it was good to be back in the old haunts.

Ready to go.

On the water.

Pushing the boat up the rapid.

Heading up McCarthy Creek

View from the stern.

For the best water lilly picture, look for the best water lilly.

Loon and chick.

McCarthy Creek

The Tornado didn't hit us, but we had thunderstorms with micro burst constantly. Enjoying a little dry spot out of the wet.

Boiling water for coffee, first thing in the morning.

Thanks daacon, I'm not sure I like booming business. I'm retired. I need a break.... maybe I'll go back to work, I'm, still 64, I can work another few months.

Enjoyed the series Norm. Looks like you had a great time and glad that the storms didn't cause any harm to you and yours. That water lily is a great shot.

wonderful travel log photos, the lily is the best I've seen. It seems like you have to really work at times, but the results appear to be worth the effort. You live in such beautiful virgin territory, I can see why you put up with the winters.

Thanks eagle... I'd say a bad day in the park is better than a good day at the office, except that the park pretty much is "the office" these days.

ha, ha, you get a lot fewer bug bites that way... I'm still itching from the last trip and we start another tomorrow.

It's fun working that hard.... if it isn't part of a "job".
