Few lake sunsets
Lens: DA* 16-50 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Elk Island, Alberta
Posted By: daacon, 07-24-2013, 04:16 AM

I originally went to Elk Island (about a 25 minute drive) to capture some sunsets over one of the lakes. It sure was a calm evening. Here's what I got.

click on image twice for larger view

#1 - A little higher view than the rest

#2 - Like the clouds here ...

#3 - relatively new extension to the dock.

#4 - This gentleman was using the picnic table as a tripod not sure if he was pointing it at me or just reviewing some of his shots

#5 - This is probably my favorite shot of the evening (a crop from #2)

Beautiful location, and beautifully captured. #1 my favorite as well - I really like the balance between the trees in the upper left, and the shrubs in the lower right...

Georgeous Dave. ...the photos that is. No favourite, like them all.
Better have two glasses Bob, that Merlot will taste real good in that scenario.

I love the placid feel of these terrific photos, old buddy. I'm especially impressed with the first one.
