My first try to capture some close up of butterflies.
I got these with DA 18-135mm plus a +2 close up filter during my last trip to Cameron Highlands, Malaysia.

And I just cropped the last one!

The funny part is that right after this trip, I bought a DFA 50mm macro lens )

I checked the larger versions on your flickr and they really are sharp.
That's a good macro alternative and the photos show it.
