Well we have come to end of Dave and Katie's most excellent adventure. Here are the last of the Badland shots. The next day we were on a plane back home. That is a whole other story - let's just say we don't often get to see the Atlantic ocean on the way home (plane cancellation , only way to get home that day was from Rapid City ==> Chicargo ==> Newark ==> Edmonton, Alberta ).

Thanks for indulging me and thanks for stopping by to look and thanks to those that commented throughout the series. It was a great time, some good Daddy / Daughter bonding time and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Such great shots to end the series with. It really does look like another planet out there. I love the colors in #5, especially in contrast to #9.
Looks like you'd need a few spare balls on #8. Speaking of golf, have you ever been to the Devil's Golf Course in Death Valley?

Thanks scratch paddy it does indeed. Not really much of a golfer I do get out on occasion maybe more so if / when I ever retire. I have not been to that course. I did golf Emerald Canyon (I think?) in Parker , Arizona once that was a pretty desert like course you really had to be straight off the tee - not my strong suit

Might be Badlands but the scenic value of them is very good.

Great bunch of pics, Buddy. The Badlands - aptly named - are bleak yet compelling. I remember as a boy, I was tossing some of the local clumps of hard soil during our visit; one of these hit my dad's leg rather hard. I was in the doghouse for a time.
