Test shots w/ Tamron BBAR 135mm/F2.8
Posted By: maxwell1295, 03-24-2008, 10:46 AM

(NOTE: I originally posted this in the "critique" forum in hopes of getting some feedback, but there seems to be a lot more traffic here)

I've started to test my lenses in a different way. What I do is walk around with one lens only, forcing myself to make the best of that particular focal length. That also gives me an opportunity to see what focal lengths I like shooting at best. Yesterday's lens was the Tamron-F 135mm/F2.8.

Feel free to slice 'n dice as you see fit...

This lens really renders colours nicely.

I am going to start something similar myself soon.
Just going to attach one lens ... and do the best I can with that lens ... and see how i go with it.

I do this now -- it's called the 18-55 kit lens.

Very shap indeed. Nice bokeh on the fire hydrant. Looks like a keeper.

Trust me ... it was the same for me for the first 6 months ... it was good though ... it made me respect the kit lens ... and made me think about my shots as well.

Was a good learning experience for me though.

Very impressive shots. Love the sharpness and the colour. A great result. I really like the 135mm lenses. I have a 135mm M 3.5. Perhaps I should keep a look out for the model you have used here. Not that I am that dissatisfied with mine. Renders some great shots.
