Leah, Secret Beach (Pentax LX + Ektar)

I think the Ektar looks best on cloudy days or maybe with less intense light, but still liking the look of these shots. I decided to just embrace the backlighting and go for it.

Pentax LX, pretty much all with an A 50mm 1.7.

Truthfully it's "drop film off at Walgreens drugstore, pick up scan CD, upload to Flickr". Sometimes I use a higher quality lab here in town (Panda Lab) to develop and scan. Still trying to figure out the best way to get full-frame scans of medium format though...

I just love your honesty.

Yet more lovely ladies, where do you keep finding them?

In this case she sought me out, believe it or not! That's been happening more and more recently - I trend I hope continues.

Really nice series. Many years ago I did a similar kind of thing on film and had multiple flashes on stands in the water. While moving one of the light stands, my flash meter (on a long lanyard around my neck) went under water when I stepped in a hole or something. I had to guesstimate the flash strength by distance and they turned out pretty good exposure-wise.

I really like the first one - although you need to correct the horizon slightly.

Great set! Good lighting and exposure, interesting variety of compositions. I too do the drugstore scanning method.

Just lovely.

Nothing wrong with the drugstore scanning, Chances are that your local "Pro" lab uses the same machine.....

Great set.
