They Walk Among Us
Lens: DA 70/2.4 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Lake Jackson, TX
Posted By: Sailor, 08-31-2013, 01:29 PM

A couple of nights ago, I noticed the descent of a glowing orb into the area behind our across-the-street neighbor's house. Later I heard a number of mechanical sounds characteristic of well-oiled machinery, so I came to the obvious conclusion that we were experiencing a close encounter . Last evening, this conclusion was supported when I saw this shadow of something gliding almost silently through our backyard; it's my hypothesis that this entity was drawn by the small crust of bread I laid out as bait. Unfortunately, my visitor didn't remain, possibly because I didn't butter the bread.

Had it been a squirrel, I would have been too scared to go outside .

I'm betting you're right, Susan - I hope they didn't bring along any Midwitch cuckoos!

My backyard is a scary place, buddy. Particularly now - the current crop of mosquitos is particularly vicious.
