This guy will span over 6ft to anchor himself by only 2 strands from the middle. He's a decent size around 1x1" but he loves hanging around.--charliezap

It's a nice shot Charlie. Looking at this it might be just a plain old Garden Spider. I'm just guessing since we can't see the front of him/her. They do make pretty big webs and moving them doesn't work, they come right back in your yard.

He's not a very hungry spider, that's for sure. He's got two bundled up ready to eat, and a third meal waiting to be bundled up.

Good idea, Charlie. I might mention that a common garden spider has a body like an hour glass, and his/her web has a specific spder web where just below where he/she is now, a bundle of web strings, (I don't know what else to call them).I'll see if I can a photo of mine that show you what I'm talking about.

That is one great web but the spider is still ugly. Never will get used to those guys. Give me a snake anytime.

This is a superhero spider, Capn. He was bitten by a man and absorbed the ability to just hang out.

More likely he fell into Capn's solo cup.

Looks very similar to one in our garden, she only comes out at night makes a new web but come the next morning has dismantled the web and goes into hiding.
Ian.
