Thanks for the comments it was a really interesting trip, not just for the tourist attractions but also the cultural side I will admit it was diferent to what I was expecting.

+1 for visiting China! We have traveled there three times now:

2002 - Beijing area for a week
2005 - Silk Road tour*, 2+ weeks
2013 - Three Gorges tour*, 2+ weeks

China is a very beautiful country, especially the country side. I do not much care for the real large cities.
The people we have encountered all over China are very friendly.
