I like it. But it just begs for an aperture that would bring the background into sharper focus (or maybe a shift lens?) For me, that would place her better in the vastness of the landscape, which is just as important as she is. But I am biased. I have always wanted to do the Ladakh crossing, but I think my time has passed!

i find the massive glow around her to be very distracting.... otherwise it's quite a poignant shot. that trip must have been amazing!

Fill flash at -1 would have been better. You're close and the popup flash can easily reach. But then the sync speed would force you to f/16 instead, and apparently you didn't want that.

There's the glow, yes. Did the background have a blur added for depth? Those things are okay, but I can't get over the woman's traditional costume, right down to what appear to be Crocs on her feet!
Not a bad shot for being in the middle of no where.

Thanks you so much all of you for the comments and feedback. Yes, I can see that glow but I have no explanation, apart from maybe due to RAW recovery, only adjusted for sharpening and contrast.

Thanks Manish, I have a few from Ladakh but not many from the same location. except this one, again this was an overexposed shot too (accidentally switched from Av -> M). Hope you like it.
