Tall Ships Festival
Lens: Various Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Dana Point CA

Dana Point is named after author Richard Henry Dana, who wrote Two Years Before the Mast. They have an annual "tall ships" festival, if you consider 6 ships a festival :-)

This is not a ship.

For about $50, you could go out later on the sunset cannon-shooting cruise.

On a ship, these are guns, not cannons.

This makes things look far away...

"Old Susanna..."

Everyone got "branded".

Say "argh...".

Rudder gearbox.

Skit narrator....

Mermaids.

Carving guild hands-on...

I did not know these were pumped up.

Just for fun.

gotta love those tall ships Kyle, great street shots of the festival. Just another beautiful day at the beach for you, that is tough duty and glad you could do it.

Nice series of photos. Interesting how they've played up the pirates theme to get the public out, but on the other hand it helps make for some interesting shots.............Bas

Without pirates, it's just ships.

Aye, but she's standing tall (ship).
