I took a shot once, back in the film days, of a fall color scene and during the exposure I intentionally shook the camera. It came out looking like an impressionist painting. I think that your shot does look like it could be called art. Some post processing to further emphasize the effect may make it more so, or it may not. It is certainly interesting and I keep scrolling up the page to see it again.

Ask me a year ago I'm going with the impressionist theme as Dave says, but now that I've immersed myself in photography pretty much non-stop for the past 7-8 months, it seems like a background crop to show lens bokeh characteristics. Decent bokeh though!

I am a bokeh addict and that works for me.

But in gear forum or most of photo forum, photo of this nature is usually underappreciated.

I personally like it and keep up the good work!

In a small print or viewing opportunity I find these type of shots are hard to appreciate and enjoy, but extreme enlargement (5ft x 7ft or larger) and hung in an office, or entrance foyer, or well illuminated cafe, they can be very powerful. I do like the shot.

I agree with Spyglass - I think blown up it would look sharp

I agree that this would look good at a really large size, and printed on anything that's not photo/glossy paper.

Hm, I was thinking of having this printed on matt or pearl paper. Possibly on canvas? Will have to think on this a bit and wondering what the max size is that I could get printed and still have it look good?

I agree with you Spyglass.. Little this problaby wouldnt be much (maybe a nice note card) but larger sized it is very Monetish and if printed correctly would be very cool.. I am thinking on Canvas ... lol... it would be GREAT!!!!

Love the renditions you came up with Stu.... The water effect is very creative... and the crayon looks like home made paper or a soft wall paper type design.. Great job!!!
