My New Son
Posted By: code4code5, 03-26-2008, 09:57 AM

Not to sound as though I'm fishing for congratulations, I just had to share these shots of our new baby boy, born on Friday.

The bunny hat and the black and white picture of him sleeping were taken at the hospital. I used a Manfrotto 190XPROB at the foot of the bed with the center post in the fully extended horizontal position so the K100D was paralell to the mattress. I used a Pentax AF280T flash set to bounce at 90 degrees left, then used a silver reflector to bounce the light back to his head. Lens was the kit 18-55, set at 21 f:9, 1/125 at ISO 200. I was extremely pleased with the results from those.

Cuuuuuute!

Here's to him making you proud!

PS: How long do you think it'll take before he starts "chewing" on your K100D?

Fish away. You deserve congrats! First Congrats as a Dad... as for the pics, nicely done...

I really like the hand picture. Soon after my sons were born I made sure to take pictures of their hands and feet. However, I isolated their hands and feet with a black background. While I liked the results, yours is a bit unique and I like it very much.

In photography, often the moment is the moment and that's it. Never again. Nothing is more so this way than the moments you captured here. Congrats also then on a job well done.

It's amazing the things the Easter Bunny leaves these days. Congratulations on your delivery. Hope Momma and Baby are doing well. I love the last shot.

If it was your first I'd say welcome to 3 months of sleepless nights but because you're experienced it'll be a breeze hey!! Nice pictures and congrats.

Thanks all. Now that we've got him a little more straightened out as to what is day and what is night, it's gotten much better.
