Indeed they can, if you master the art of combining the right ones

Mystery - a difficult subject for photography. You are brave to even try.
A refreshing change from the usual.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be named is not the eternal name.
The nameless is the beginning of heaven and Earth.
The named is the mother of the ten thousand things.
Ever desireless, one can see the mystery.
Ever desiring, one sees the manifestations.
These two spring from the same source but differ in name; this appears as darkness.
Darkness within darkness.
The gate to all mystery.

The Tao Te Ching

Thanks for the feedback! I wasn´t really specifically after a mystery theme at the time. I just happened to pass this wonderful location, a big low grass plateau with walking paths and some lights, where this five to ten feet thick fog builds up at sundown. I could see people walking in the fog like gray shadows and thougt Man, that would make a nice photo. So I cought a few. After PP it felt like mystery was a suitable thread title, but it could as well have been "into the mist" or something .

Btw, seriously deep poem you've cited there. I have red it a few times, it just gets more complex as it progresses. Not sure I grasp the last few lines, but I guess this is the kind of thing one shall ponder over for years.
