Been eyeing those, too, $300 isn't too bad, either, given the price of the Pentax AF Macro lenses.
FWIW, the Hoya Close-up filters are pretty damn good for close-up filters... Pricey at about $50 for a new set, but I've seen them on KEH for under $20. Here's a shot with them, though:
Unfortunately, the focus isn't dead on (still haven't gotten used to manual focus on a plan matte screen), but that's with all the Hoya filters stacked on a 50mm f/2 at f/16 with a homemade macro flash out of a Vivitar 560d
