Newly acquired Super Takumar 1:/200 out for a trial run today. This lens is stuck wide open at f4. I would love to get it working properly. It seems quite promising quite sharp, wide open, it has to be better at f8.

Both calf photos are taken from same position and both cropped. Top one lightly cropped to remove extra beasts in the background, Second more heavy crop to bring out some detail. And of course the trusty steed.

Thank you. It certainly is a bit different from having all the bells and whistles. A little frustrating at times with a minimum focus distance of 2.5 metres and I certainly wold like a little more DoF. I don't think I will be selling the newer automatic lenses just yet though.
