Travel the Jewel of South Dakota

Photos are from a drive through Spearfish Canyon in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We were expecting some change of colors but fall hasn't come to this beautiful area as yet. Lots of photo ops on this drive with many turnouts and so much to do in the Black Hills which includes everything from Mount Rushmore to the grasslands of Custer NP and Deadwood just to mention a few.

Rupert, you really would enjoy yourselves up this way, so much beauty and things to see. Mid Sept and October are great months, cooling off and not many tourists.

Thanks for asking Bas, yes they are all fine. We have a granddaughter up near Boulder/Loveland area that we couldn't get ahold of for awhile, but turned out she headed South when it started flooding. Kids can be smarter than I thought at times.
