Natural Bridge
Lens: DA* 16-50 / DA 12-24 Camera: K5 iis Photo Location: Field , Yoho Natl Park, BC

Just down the road from Lake Louise (about 25km) is the Natural Bridge (Field , BC).

Natural Bridge is an impressive natural rock formation that spans the flow of the Kicking Horse River west of Field, where the slower-moving waters from the Field valley flats begin their descent through a canyon to be joined by the Amiskwi River

I had just purchased a used Singh Ray Vari-ND Filter from my nephew and Ill have to say it worked well. You have to use it at about 15mm or > as with the 12-24 @12mm you lost a lot of the picture.

Here are some of my takes on this impressive area where water and time have created this.

Something I love about #4. Must have been a lot of rain - a little late in the season for glacial run-off.

Stunning! Especially those long exposures. Why is the water so cloudy? It looks like a river of milk.

the slow SS makes it look like the river is frozen over, beautiful area up there and well photographed.

Thanks buddy - indeed that's the first thing I thought and this late in year. It's no wonder there was a lot of flooding this year.
