Very very nice! The buttery orchids are amazing!! (You are not the only person who hates to read manuals! However, I am of the species that starts with the table of contents, and page by page, camera in lap.) (then I forget everything anyway)

that's right Bob, real men don't read manuals, or need maps, or stop to ask directions

Nice work. I have some Kangaroo Paws just coming into flower. I find them the damnedest things to photograph. a) there is not much of them, b) .the leaves always look shabby and c) the red fuzz on them is so fine it is almost impossible to make look as is it is not out of focus. That said I think you have done a good job on them.

I like the orchids too

thanks Bruce, they are a challenge for sure, I took quite a few shots before one that I was happy with, I needed to get the angle so that all the "paws" in the shot were at similar distance to keep them within the DOF, and that red is such a tricky colour to get any were near right! The Orchids, well I think its probably hard to take a poor shot of such beautiful flowers.
cheers
