Thanks Dave... since I walk the same paths, see the same trees, places and spaces every day, I have to really think hard how to photograph my familiar differently. Sometimes it works, sometimes it is just too weird. But that first shot I just love... Tamron and teleconverter, side-lit plant and reflective stream, very long exposure....I have shot that place 100 times and think this one shows something new.

Thanks Bob... I always use a tripod as I cannot hold the camera steady, even at a fast shutter speed. that TC was made for the Tamron. I just love the combination and the unusual bokeh and sun flares it produces.
Originally posted by lesmore49 That mushroom shot is fabulous. The lighting, the composition, colour rendition...all top notch. Almost 3D....looks like you could reach out and pick one. Not too many mushrooms out in my area of the prairies this year. Too hot, not much precipitation I think could possibly be the reason.
thanks so much Les! Lots and lots of mushrooms here this year. Last year it was a different story, like you this year, the draught meant very few could be found. I find mushrooms a real challenge to photograph in an interesting way. I am glad you liked these!
