You're going to have to travel with us Kyle, I guess it is just what time of the year and the luck of the draw at times. At least you got to see some beautiful country, that's the main thing.

yeah, it sure is Dave, we are leaving the area about 5 days earlier than the Round Up event this year. Looks like that will be fun. Here's a link

I'm so envious! We planned to get to S Dakota this month, but I didn't get caught up on my backlog in time. Maybe next spring......anyhow, it was great to see your photos, as always!
Regards!

How cool! Some very interesting wildlife shots Bob... The buffalo must be moulting, and I love how that young buck is looking out at you. The last shot is intriguing... what is that animal?

Tess the last are Pronghorn Antelope, they are common on the prairies. At times they are very leery of man, yet we have had them run right beside the Jeep racing us in the backcountry. The bison get such a heavy winter coat many times they don't shed all of it during the summer, they look a bit unkempt don't they.

I spent 4 days driving around Wyoming looking for a shot like #1 but didn't see a single buffalo. Good on you!

I would say there are probably 500 or so up in Custer SP, lots of photo ops Jerry. We even had a large bull bison come into the campground.
