Tree Frog
Lens: DA18-135 Camera: K-30

Happened to spot this guy on my shed last night. I've never seen a frog at our place but this guy was huge. Not sure how he has survived this long with all the bloody cats people let roam around.

I have a couple like that around my house. One lived in a gap in the timber of my back step for about 5 years. In summer, a few regularly climb out of the down pipes from the roof at dusk, and jump around the tin roof making heavy thuds, before jumping off into the yard. Then in the morning you hear them doing the return journey onto the metal roof, along the gutters, and into the down pipes. They are wonderful.

That's what we thought. Must have a few tricks up his/her sleeve. Wondered if those white marks are scars?

haha. They are such amazing things. This is the first one we've seen at our place since we moved here about 18 months ago. I was quite surprised really. There's not really any bushland around and there are a lot of domestic animals.

Thanks. I was happy with the shots considering I was holding and shooting the K-30 with one hand and blindly pointing the flash in vaguely the correct direction with the other. I was in a rush to get anything of it.
