Please don't eat me!

This was shot with the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 at only 63mm! ISO 100 and f3.5. If it weren't for the safety window I would have been lunch.

Great capture, Dave.

The majestic being is caught well on cam.

There is a bit of motion blurr around the edges of the shot - did you roate the lens while shooting the photo?

Kim stold my expletive....WOW. This is an amazing capture. I assume it was shot through glass, and I dont see any of the normal "fog" you get on the zoo glass. Do you travel with "Windex"???

To all - thank you very much for the comments. I didn't think that it was going to come out as well as it did because not only was I shooting through glass, I was at a 45 degree angle to the glass.

To James - I think the distortion at the edges is the combination of the glass and the glare/reflection of other people on my side of the glass. In some other shots in the series there are color spots on the tiger from peoples' colored clothing.

To Diane - No, but I sure wanted it on this occasion. With a little window cleaning and a large black card to stop glare this shot could have been even better.

To Kim - We go almost every weekend. It's an activity the whole family enjoys. You are welcome to join us some time.

I don't think you want to be any closer! I think the shot turned out great, especially considering it was shot through zoo glass.

A beautiful sharp and colourful shot. I know you said it could have been even better with a cleaner window, but that window must have been pretty clean to get a shot like that.

The window was so dirty... (how dirty was it?).... it was so dirty, the photo is actually of a cougar. I really was surprised it came out as good as it did. I have photographed these tigers many times with varying success, but this is by far my new favorite.
