Unfortunately the rain washed out the event halfway through the show, but I managed to get these shots. I hope to see the full show on Saturday night.

They came out very well. A few areas of shadows, but otherwise all bright and sharp.

They seem to have provided decent lighting for photographers too - no white balance problems evident.

It was a pity that the show got rained out, halfway through. However, there is one more show tonight and the organisers have given us free access to it, so I can learn from last night's mistakes.

I had to laugh when the rain came down - everybody packed their cameras away or ran for cover, but I carried on shooting, thanks to my camera's weather resistance!

It was the last show of the Tattoo tonight and there was no rain, thank goodness, so I managed to see the rest of the show that was washed out the night before.

Lots of great color here, and the lighting is superb for a night time event. But where and what is "KZN?"
