Thanks Bob it's not hard in this area for sure. Yes indeed we get there in the winter , try to do a weekend every season. I posted some of them in December. In fact Katie and I spent 3 days out here last December and we hit all the same areas. Here a shot of Vermilion Lakes on the last few days of 2012.

Wow Dave, love #5.

I miss mountains and streams. Florida is flat. Nothing here but salt water and it doesn't flow right IMO.

If the first photo was put up first because you like that one the most I must agree! Nice morning light, something in the foreground to add some depth and then more layers of goodness like the reflection until my eye rests on the mountain on the right catching the morning light.

Dacon , your #5 is stunning . It really deserves a large print and frame and mounted on a wall.

Yeah, well, every where I've lived, except for Texas, I was surround by water, not flat ground and salt water. Once when I lived in Minnesota, I lived close enough I could drive to Ontario in a few hours,, but it's too cold there. I would rather live where I did for 20 years with my late husband......Arkansas. Beautiful mountains, and rivers, and streams, and no people.

More great photos of a terrific looking place. Can't say why, but #3 is perhaps my favorite.

Fall would be the time I would recommend right about now actually My $0.0.2 recommendation is for wildlife and fall colors the Jasper area. Mountains and Lakes the Banff / Yohoo area. It's not that both areas don't have both , just a quick impression.
