Before the rains came
Lens: Sigma 8-16 Camera: K-01 Photo Location: Whitney, On

We started the day with a trip to the park for a guided hike where the big topic seemed to be tree sex. This guy is a tree sex expert apparently, although he didn't know if Beech trees were hetero or bi.

We finished the night at our favourite camsite where awesome ribs done on an oak fire were washed down with a few beers.

Today it's all rain and thunder, so we're lucky we got another night in.

#3 is just perfect. Takes a moment to comprehend the hammock. Can picture scrapping the camera and enjoying the idle and the idyll - O.K., poetic license but ....

Gorgeous shots, gorgeous area! Hard to say who is the better shooter, you or Tess. I go back and forth, but you are both damn fine shooters.
If I ever get up that way...will that get me some ribs and a cold beer?

Regards!

You have life worth living Norm with such a beautiful outdoor playground at your doorstep. I really like the last one with the reflections. But the whole series is wonderful. So this the place the Canadians go to learn about tree sex?

Nice pics - especially like #2 & 3. Your comment on the ribs and beer has me heading for the fridge for a Wheat Beer from Whitefish, MT, some cranberry summer sausage and cheddar cheese (not ribs, but it'll do....)

Given the weather the last little while, we were just glad to have some sun....

There's something about barbecuing on a red oak fire that just can't be described

I suppose I could just sit by the fire and enjoy the view.... naw, that will never happen.

Apparently it is, which reminds me, I haven't looked up about the beech trees yet.

You are sooooo open to suggestion.... try and avoid the part about tree sex, we wouldn't want you to misunderstand the concept.

Thanks Jimbo, I did some work on it (like more than my usual 15 seconds...) so here's a repost.

Well, at least print it maybe, frame space on our walls is a bit taxed at the moment.

Nice shots Norm...I love those reflection shots. I will have to pass on the tree sex topic.
