Juan Uribe Muffs One
Lens: Pentax DA 55-300 mm Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: Dodger Stadium

Something for a change of pace. I don't go to too many Dodger games, but in this particular game Dodger third baseman Juan Uribe hit three home runs. I was set up waiting for him to hit #4, but he refused to cooperate.

Thanks Dave. I was sitting up in the second deck and needed the zoom, so I took this using ISO 3200, f/5.6, 1/640. This is really stretching the limits of the 55-300 mm lens and considering the circumstances I think it did a pretty decent job.

But I'm cringing a little bit looking at this now. Compared to what I see in Aperture, it looks way over-sharpened (especially the ground) and there's a rind around Uribe's uniform.

I see what you're talking about with Uribe's uniform, but I wouldn't have noticed if it had not been mentioned. My attention was drawn to the catcher. Something about the photo reminds me of looking at an old Sports Illustrated book about baseball from the 1970's. Nice shot! .....the only thing ordinary about it is Uribe pounding the ball in the dirt.

Thanks Knock. I replaced the first version with this second one just for the record.
Hey, Uribe hit 3 home runs in this game!
