The fog was like pea soup when I arrived at Van Dyne Spoor...

Things were a bit clearer when I arrived at the visitor center and wildlife drive.

Marsh Wren, first time I've ever gotten a look at one...

Great series showing the wide variety of wildlife. I have driven by numerous times on the I90 on my way camping/fishing and although I have never stopped in for a look I have managed to spot a few 'residents' close to the highway. One spring I do recall having to do a quick lane change for a turtle that was making its way, at turtle speed, across the highway.

Regards

Very nice! Do you live in this area? I live about a 1/2 hour from there and shoot Pentax as well.

That first image is a bit special, deserves to be printed large and hung on the wall.

I live in the Syracuse area. I go to Montezuma several times a month when the weather is better.

Nice I'm between Rochester and MNWR. Didn't think anyone around here shot with Pentax.

Nice I'm between Rochester and MNWR. Didn't think anyone around here shot with Pentax. Glad to see what the 55-300 does good about to purchase it.

Very nice shooting. You took good advantage of the early fog.

We just finished the coldest February in more than 20 years, 11th coldest on record. March is always the longest month, if I can make it through March it's all good the rest of the year. April 1st is the first day of trout season. It becomes a mantra...

A great collection of shots here. The third one really stands out for me, but there are several others that I'd be pleased to have on my wall. Great stuff!
