....and one more another Canadian Icon - The Canadian Beaver. I sure wish I had a better vantage point but I did not have any hip waders on I remember when my son was in Grade 4 and we had just got our first computer. He and his friend had a paper to do on Beavers. They searched the web (don't even remember if Google was used back then) and these images I am about to show here in NO WAY WHATSOEVER represent what came back with the search term 'Canadian Beaver'

Most all of these were at ISO 12800

There was a great tv program on the humble beaver earlier in the week on one of the Canadian channels, sure educated me to the value they bring to the farming community in irrigation. Hail the mighty beaver.

Ha - the Tim Horton's in the title brought me in! I make a pilgrimage to the north every other month for my fix of 6 or so pounds of coffee.

Canadian Beaver? Never knew there was a difference from ours - I'll have to take a look what Google says now - eh?

Great captures of the building process - I love to watch them work!

I have never been able to get a photo of one Dave, they seem to be as busy as a beaver for some reason. In highschool, the girls used to wear beaver cheaters, ever hear of those?

Thanks Stan - probably not much difference other than ours are usually bilingual (and on our nickle) - it is interesting they are pretty dedicated rodents for sure.

Thanks Bob got lucky here usually there are out and about - apparently I was early enough to catch the morning shift. Never head of the beaver cheaters ...sounds pretty risque for then (albeit those were pre-internet days where not everything had a pornographic implication)

Timmies is an icon here for sure. I have never seen one that is not busy and they are everywhere. Even in the hamlet where I live (maybe 100,000 people spread all over) we have 5 of them.
