Honey Eater in garden

Have been trying to take a photo of this little guy for some time (or a relative).

K100D with Tamron 28-300 @300 + 12 mm Kenko Ext tube f6.3 1/180 ISO 400

Thats pretty sharp. I like how his little feet are exactly on the opposite parts of the tap. Well done. Good looking bird too.

Sharp, colourful image and nice bokeh as Dave said. What bird is it or is it literally a Honey Eater as in your title?

Thanks for comments, "Phylidonyris novaehollandiae" or New Holland Honey Eater - native to south eastern australia. Unfortunately I found my dog with a dead baby honey eater in his mouth yesterday so they are obviously breeding in one of our trees - dog is a scrounger & too slow to kill one!!!

Well the wait was certainly worth it. This is an amazing capture, and the back ground looks amazing.
