Great! I have to get to this place someday. How many tries did it take you to finally win the lottery?

Great shots. Closest I got to it was driving past the car park area last June (just before we had our flat). It must be an amazing place and these would as good as anything I have seen from the area.
The lottery puts me off too.

Thank you guys for the comments, this is really a beautiful area. It can be difficult to get a permit to go to The Wave.
During the best months (April, May, September, October) there can be over 150 people applying for the ten daily permits.
We were lucky to win permits twice, the first time in 2011 in a daily lottery in the ranger station and the second time online.

How do you get permits and (might sound like a stupid questions) but why do you need permits? I will be going to Arizona for work early next year and I would love to make a stop here if I can. These are great shots! Thanks for sharing.
