I recently spent a week on the Oregon coast with my wife. We had a wonderful trip. I spent many hours taking pictures of the surf. The first one is one of my favorites of a long exposure using my recently acquired 9 stop ND filter (purchased through PF). It took many wasted shots before I learned to cover my viewfinder. Not only did some get ruined by light leaking in during the exposure, but many got ruined by the light leaking in during metering and tricking both me and the K5. Oh well, we learn. The second is one of my favorite wave explosion pictures. I could spend weeks on the OR coast taking these. Hope you enjoy. I have 600 or so to sort through, I hope at least 1 or 2 are wall worthy....

Great shots. You got lucky and found some time where the coast isn't fogged in. I love the coast myself.

Thanks everybody for the kind words.

The view finder leak messing with the metering threw me at first... I would get set up (using Tv) stand up and hit the shutter release and watch the settings change on the top screen....I thought I was loosing it. Then I started covering the viewfinder with my thumb....
