All wonderful, but "Rocky Storm" is really special. You wouldn't happen to know your focal length on that shot, would you? (I've been longing for a DA 70mm to take up into my mountains--the short tele, especially in portrait orientation, really seems to "see" what I "feel" in that environment.)

Given the crop factor, with Pentax, I would suggest something like the 35 2.4 as a good light weight travel lens. The 70 is a good lens and even tghe pair would be a nice light weight set for thew back country. THew image you asked about was shot at 35mm, F8, ISO 400 with a shutter speed of 200th second, hand held.

Appreciate everyone taking the time to comment. The light was low and it was overcast making a a challenge to work the exposure. JIM

Excellent, I've been lusting over the DA 35 macro, but could see the use of its faster cousin as well. Thanks for the reply and additional information.

Very nice, as usual, bud. I think the first one is remarkable and aptly named.

Thanks Dave. Wish we had more then a day at Yellowstone though we got a Grizzy shot, Moose, Baffalo and Elk. The Elk was photographed just out side Jasper though. Posting a few animal shots in a bit. JIM
