Learn to count, with BLWNHR.
Posted By: blwnhr, 03-29-2008, 12:08 AM

Whilst strolling around a few weeks ago I spotted these. They are shed numbers at the local train yards. These have not been used for about 20 years.

Shot with K10D, Sigma 18-125. Varying contrast and saturation adjustments in PS CS2.

Enjoy.

I like the textures; "19" being the most arresting.

Abstract indeed - 21 has seen better days. Nice series.

Nice job. I like 21 best, it tells the story of neglect better than 19-20. The low-to-high perspective of 21 is also more interesting because it is less common than 19-20.

How do you like your Sigma 18-125? I haven't used mine in a while after getting the DA16-45.

It is the only short lens I have so I don't have many options. It has barrel distortion and vignetting, but my copy is reasonably sharp.

I have been thinking about a photo blog named "numbers" doing what you do exactly!

But I could never bring up my energy to do that. Sad... Getting hold here

Sory I forgot to say that I like the high contrasty approach to these numbers. Kind of wild and derelict. Great shots!

The perspective on 21 makes it a stand out among the rest of the numbers. Very nice shot.
