Some snapshots from this weekend.
Posted By: ranamar, 03-29-2008, 01:26 AM

Here are some shots I took this week.
1. My attempt at panning a crow chasing something 6feet away from me.

2. My photo does not give justice to this snowy river near Princeton, BC.

3. Again with the river. I seem to be having an issue with my skys being blown out.

4. Another river somewhere in BC., I forgot where I took this.

5. A try at long exposure w/ a broken tripod.

6. Another try at long exposure w/ my broken tripod. I liked how this one came out.

7. This called the "Spotted Lake" for a reason. There is some sort of formation on the lake that makes it look like that year round.

8. A parrot. Her name is Hannah and she is one of 200 of her species left in the world, because her species sell for anywhere from 16k-30k USD per bird. She can, and has, cut thru a chain link fence with her beak.

Any Comments would be appreciated.

A nice series. The panning is probably not what you wanted but it does have a motion blur appeal. I love the river shots, BC has some very scenic country. That spotted lake just looks wierd. Thanks for sharing.

Nice series. The first shot is interesting in spite of bluring. Exposure could probably have done with being down a notch or two as you suggest on the river/sky scenes but they they are nice compositions. Last but one is interesting; what has created that effect?

happy accidents sometimes yieid nice results, and so it is with that crow shot......some cropping if you have the Raw, may bring more balance, but other wise an interesting photo......agree with daacon the river shots are pretty nicely composed, i especially like #2, as i am partial to dense mysterious mood
