Long Exposures

These were taken yesterday - in very dark (pre sunrise) conditions - just playing lately

#1 77s - This one I also had to crank up the exposure in pp. It was almost pitch black out. Pretty noisy but prety good I think given the conditions. After this shot I cranked up the ISO to 400 for the rest of the shots.

#2 - 60s

#3 - 65s

The composition of the third does not do it justice (small river too centered, cut light source to the left) but I prefer this setting to the others. 2 is clealy the best, maybe crop it tighter (as a pano). 1 is well executed but does not do anything for me.

Yeah, #2 is my favourite too. The others are well-composed and sharp, too, but their white balance is a bit too much for me. But they are all good shots, well done!

Yah #2 here is amazing. I like the unique colours of all the houses along the waterfront. What time of day were you shooting? Were you shooting at a small aperture to get the starburst effect around the lights?

I have to go along with the crowd and nominate #2 as best but I do not mind the noise in #1, it adds atmosphere.

While they all are nice shots, #1 rocks for me The yellow adds a pleasant effect

Thanks bdery I like your suggestion on #3 and yeah it's all subjective.
