Shoot with Friends (Model for C&C)
Posted By: AKiss20, 03-30-2008, 08:54 AM

Did a shoot with my friends at my school, and got a couple cool ones out of it. C&C highly welcome!

Same without the blur effect

Cool shots. I really liked #2. The angle and PP really draw the eye to the subject. Nice mood, too. Very nice work. B&W conversion on the last one is also very nice.

Number 5 is border-line freaky! She's obviously a very attractive girl. The way she's captured, with the slightly blood-shot eyes, veins and darkness of her eyebrows, eyelashes and eyes, it makes me think of a horror show poster.

Now, apart from the nit-picking, I like these pics. They're well exposed (if not just slightly over) and the angles add interest. Although, in the 1st, the drop-ceiling's t-bar is coming out of his head lol.

Nice job, thanks for posting.

I could see the first 4 pics as stock photo.

Lighting on each is great.
Background on #1 should be blurred out or less distracting.
#2 with blur is nicer to me than #3 without blur.
#5 is a very sharp photo, would have to agree with Andrew though, a smile and some PP on her eyes may change things considerably!

I really like no 2 as well. Great use of lighting. The last two shots lacked impact somewhat. Maybe it is due to the fact that there is less inclusion of the body or setting to make a theme.

Very nice shots. I'll agree with other and add my vote for #2. I'm also quite fond of #5. It would look good as an album cover.

Thanks very much for your input and C&C!!

My favorite is number 2 as well . The last two were taken in the courtyard outside, so it was less of a school theme. The shots of the two girls didn't come out as well as that of the guy. He just really knew how to model naturally, coming up with poses and such on his own. The girls needed a lot of direction, and im still very much a novice at directing models.
