I really like the pastel colouring of this shot and the composition is good as well.

Thanks eaglem, I wasn't going to go pastel but being a photographer, you have to go with the hand that's dealt you.... nature has it's own style, all I can do is make a record.

Great photo with an ethereal quality. Autumn colours are magnificent. Frame adds more. Something about it reminds me of the painting "American Gothic".

Thanks Frank, the real key to this was exposing for the sky and rescuing the shadows, which were the trees and the farm buildings... the somewhat muted colour seems to resonate with the sparse, way past peek, autumn foliage, emphasizing the fact that though there are spots of colour, it's largely bare. I didn't think that through before hand, it just turned out that way, sometimes even a blind squirrel finds a nut.
