Architectural photography is a strange territory for me so far, so I would really like to hear some constructive comments this one:

What a magnificent structure. I like these types of architectural shots. You get to work and compose strong lines, balance light with heavy concepts, and choose reference points that 90% of the population would never see. The building is very busy and all the mechanical & structural components do not make it easy for the eye to glide around the photo, that being said, it does give a ton of detail to examine and should interest mechanically minded viewers. I would say (IMHO) that you pulled a nice capture from the location. I guess the thing that works most for me is that the photo seems to change with each repositioning of the viewing eye. (almost like the famous painting of the endless sets of stairs, where just when you think you have the perspective figured out you get to a point where you have to readjust and start all over again - love that painting) Your composition is good, contrast, and focus are spot on. It is a head turner (Literally)

As soon as I saw the photo I thought; "We are the Borg, resistance is futile."
I like the sharp lines throughout the image, great job.

Metalfab, you hit the nail on the head. It is very Borg-like. (that was the best thing that Star Trek, Next Generation, brought to the table).

spyglass, k100d, metalfab, thank you for these kind comments!

This is called Sanomatalo ("house on news"), it is the head quarter of the biggest media corporation in Finland, Sanoma Ltd, located right in the middle of Helsinki. It is build like a cross shape but so that diagonally it is covered by huge glass walls forming a bigger building around the inside actual building. So there are huge lobbies on the corners, this is the biggest.

Every mechanical structures are left in view, as you can see...

Sanomatalo is very photographer friendly, there are often photo exhibitions in this lobby.

I had it as a great target when testing my then new Sigma 10-20mm.
