Mt. Hood Reflecting Pool
Lens: 24mm 1:2 IF Camera: K5 Photo Location: Trillium Lake, OR ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F16

This photo is Mt. Hood reflected in Trillium Lake. This is one of the more photographed locations for shooting Mt. Hood as you get good reflections also.

Shot 18 Oct 2013 early evening so sun was low in the sky. Very little post processing was done on this.

As always constructive critique is welcome.

Veyr nice shot, not much too improve upon it! But if you wanted to get fancy you could mask in a more interesting sky. Purists might not like this but I use the technique often.
Not necessary though as this is a very good shot, perfect lighting and composition in my opinion.

Thank you very much GeoJerry.

I did today do an image search of Trillium Lake and there are hundreds of images that come up from all four seasons and a few different perspectives. When I have more time I want to try some night photography there (star trails) as I think this would lend itself well to that.

Thank you Daacon.

I am trying to decide on what medium to print this (i.e. metallic paper, metal, canvas, etc...).

Great image. The horizon doesn't look straight to me though. Unless the snow line isn't level. The tree on the right doesn't look vertical though either.

Thank you Camerons. No the snow line isn't level and the tree really is leaning. It isn't that the snow line isn't level, but the tree line up on the mountain isn't straight

Very nice - I wouldn't try to change the sky because you'd have to fake the reflection as well! Snow line notwithstanding it looks like the horizon is rotated slightly to the left. Reminds me of visiting Mt Ranier.

We are truly lucky to live in the Northwest. Fall is a great season here. Wonderful shot. I think I would have preferred to have the cone of the mountain in the left third of the frame. IMO there is too much dark in relation to the texture of the trees on the right. Just my opinion. Like I said , great shot though.
