The rise & fall of fall in flowers
Lens: Tamron f/2.8 90 macro Camera: K-5 Photo Location: my garden
Posted By: tessfully, 10-19-2013, 04:26 PM

Something...maybe the shapes & textures, or their page in life and the stories they tell), or the memory of my grandmother (her favourite flower, drew me to spend time photographing 'the end' and the beginning of time as seeds drop to winter over in my garden.

Made a few additions to the original bunch.

Some additions as I find these images quite fascinating...

.

This one was done for Charlies 'Solo Cup' challenge

Really well done. Excellent use of shallow depth of field. I only wish I had a proper Pentax macro lens!

Thanks for commenting JMR. Thanks for noticing the DOF. I try so hard to work with shallow depth of field and focal plane. Some better than others, sometimes I had to make a decision and trade off, especially the second. Glad you like the results. My macro lens suits and inspires my way of seeing. If you can you should add one to your kit.

Love 'em, Tess. Had to keep coming back to them. And wouldn't have noticed the little model in the last one if I hadn't

What a great subject Tess. The third one keeps me going back to have another look. It looks so like the wind is taking it away but it is struggling to stay in place. Enjoyed the whole series.

Wow, I got so busy post processing 4 months worth of photos I completely forgot to thank everyone for having a look and commenting on these images. Now I have gone and added even more to the series.
