Interesting image, old 4570 (I have one of those myself). I also have a K10D and 18-55, but not the +8 close up filter. I am fascinated by this shot because it shows how narrow the "in focus" zone is considering it is f6.7. I know the in-focus zone only appears to increase at smaller apertures, but when you use this magnification the out-of-focus is magnified as well. I would like to see a similar shot at f16.

Im currently building a Macro flash , its meant to be dual flash , but I only have enough parts on hand to set it up as a single flash ATM ..
Just need more parts to arrive ..

Was going outside shortly to play with the camera lens + Flash this time ....

Im going to order some more parts to play around with the configuration and set up ..

These last ones look great old.

I have a ring flash that I'll use in a few months, (going to laser eye surgery for the next two months) hopefully this goes well, but I will be able to use my Tamron Adaptall 100mm Macro lens 1:1, and the right flash, I hope, after this surgery. DOF on macros is truely good for smaller f stops. Btw, I have used three closeup filters on my 18-55mm before, stacked they equal 7.

Hmmmm

I really dont like stacking close up filters , probably because I use the cheap ones , and a single half decent one does not degrade the image much ..

Im going to order a +10 next , I did see a +20 one day , I think it was Hoya ..

Best of luck with the eye surgery , my mother had the laser procedure , and it did improve her vision .. So hopefully some good results ...

It's actually a very tiny grape leaf.

The bee shot is wonderful.
