My beloved Görick-bike in the leading role.
Camera: K-r
Posted By: klosov, 10-27-2013, 01:54 PM

I present the main actor. Here is Görick. My beloved bike which I often ride to my photographic tours.

Görick is as old as I am, maybe older? And just like my manual lenses, holds up very well. This reference should be to him!

Göricke! This is an old "old fashioned" German brand.
Note that I live in Wroclaw, which was once part of Germany. It adds flavor.
My ancestors had to move out of the area which is now part of Russia.
Story-History.
In any case. This bike is really great and it serves me well.
I bought it at a flea market, straight from Germany.

Sorry for translation. Made by Google

Some of those old Eastern European vehicles....motor and pedal powered work well. Back in the 1960's I had a Jawa 50cc scooter and two CZ 125cc motorcycles...all made in Czechoslovakia.

I was driving once the Jawa 55cc. All with my Uncle. It was crazy. The area quite mountainous. I was scared as hell. I was 11-12 years old? Until now, I have no driving license!

This is an adult bike. After a bit of an accident it has low handlebars. It is more sporty. But not like the one where I checked how fast can I go? It was at night. A wide "avenue", but unfortunately brick on the road. Was also an accident, luckily nothing broke, out of a bicycle.

I wonder how old is this bike? In this older picture perhaps appropriate environment?

That's a great series... amazing how the bike just doesn't look out of place anywhere, it just fits right in.
