Tuzigoot
Posted By: Bob Harris, 10-29-2013, 07:55 PM

Tuzigoot is an ancient village or pueblo built by a culture known as
the Sinagua. The pueblo consisted of 110 rooms including second and
third story structures. The first buildings were built around A.D.
1000. The Sinagua were agriculturalists with trade connections that
spanned hundreds of miles. The people left the area around 1400. Tuzigoot is located in Clarkdale, Arizona

Great info and photos Bob... looks like there is some really intense sun and heat there. The petroglyph shot is amazing. Deep Time in both landscape and cultural artifacts.
It was a very bright day Tess, I even used a filter for these shots but temps are a very nice 75f. Yes, love the petroglyphs, wish I could figure them out though.

A wonderful tour, Bob. I was just a kid when I saw these ruins.

yes Jerry, it is located on your way up to Jerome and not too far off of the road either so you did visit the area it seems.

Yep, that's it. Thanks for posting these! This was my (largely) pre-camera days so I don't really have many good pictures from that trip, back in 1996.

Jerry, in the event of a revisit another place to visit is Montezuma Castle, it is located between Camp Verde and Sedona right off of I 25.
