My first day as a member I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to purchase a DA 55-300mm from a member here you gave me a great deal and shipped it the same day, so I had it by Friday within plenty of time to shoot early this morning. I love this lens as it is very handy, but I must admit as a novice shooter I have a difficult time trying to relax, so I see my subject bouncing around in the viewfinder a lot with long lenses. Today was especially difficult as it was plenty chilly and windy on the beach this morning. I relaxed and tried to control my breathing (excitement) as best I could to get a sharper image, but nothing there was nothing I could do to eliminate the sail-effect on the fully extended lens in the wind.
All things being considered I think it turned out pretty well
Thanks for looking and happy shooting.
BTW, this was shot at 300mm (450mm/35mm equivalent) with cold bare hands post RAW processing in Aperture 3.5
