Isn't she cute?
Posted By: Julie_B, 04-01-2008, 02:59 AM

This cute little girl and a couple of friends were grazing very close to my house last night and let me get quite close. All were taken with K10D and sigma 170-500 and all hand held.

She is but I hear she's cute from a distance! Great series but I really like the 2nd and 4th shots. Nice and sharp with good colours and a nicely OOF background.

Yes that is true that is where the lens came in pretty handy. Her boyfriend was not too far away and was quite large I made sure he kept his distance. Thanks for the comments.

Excellent shots. But roos look better through Pentax optics - preferably something like a Lightseek XL.

Don't worry, I'm working on that.

Remember when Eddie Mabo planted the Aboriginal flag on British soil?

Yeah, well, I'm planning something similar for the carp and bunny population here.

All I have are squirels and a few skunks in the yard at night. These look like much better models. I bet the smell better to. Great shots, great lighting.

Kangaroos have a very off putting smell, you can tell that they have been in an area by the smell it is quite strong.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
