Winter is here. I do enjoy the crisp days and the beauty fresh snow brings, at least for the first few weeks . Decided to head out in the harshest light yesterday and capture a few.

#1 - The wetlands not many residents left now

#2 - Just a few steps from our front door more or less

#3 - a little chocolate treatment

#4 - I am sure most of you have seen this not my shot obviously but I laugh every time I see it

I'm glad I have a friend like you that can bring photos to us like these. Great shots Dave, you're a brave man to wander outside there, that stuff scares me.

A good treatment for those kinds of shots for sure. Brings out the starkness and the icy edge in the scene.
Winter has given us an appetizer, the main course is yet to come!

Love the Walken in a winter wonderland. Good one.

My wife has relatives in Sherwood Park...eeek....I can see winter is there to stay for the duration of winter.

Thanks Les I do believe that white stuff has settled in, later than last year and let's hope for a short one.
