Misc Kingfisher outside my bedroom

I woke up to bird shriek I have never heard before. Was stll dazed, and looked for the nearest camera within reach.

On a powerline there it was, and I had barely taken two shots before it took off. The pale moon in the background is a daylight moon.

Nice shot... but.. THAT NEVER HAPPENS TO ME... whew, good to have that off my chest...

OH ya, and you got the moon in the background too....

No, the moon was taken about five minutes later, from the same general direction, a few degrees off to the left and up, and was superimposed later.

I decided to add the moon because I really would have a chance to get them both on the same exposure, If I could only hover some ten feet above my roof.

Wish the size was a bit smaller as I have to scroll both up and down and side to side to see it all on my monitor. Looks like you were lucky with the bird. No way I would have the sense to grab a camera after being woken up from a sound sleep.
