Like your "bug" shots, but really love the point of focus on that dandelion! It's like looking through a bunch of sparklers on the 4th of July!

Absolutely superb! The first bug pics are so sharp! The last one is a great composition like going in to the flower!

Yeah, those fly shots are really sharp! Nice job. I really like the dandelion, looks like an explosion of fireworks.

These are truly great shots. The shots of the blow fly are my favorite. Great colors and tack sharp. Your last one is superb I love the abstract.

Excellent detail on all of these. I haven't been as successful at getting bug macros.

Excellent shots of the fly and that dandelion, the starburst effect on the dandelion is really fascinating. Great stuff!

Thanks everyone... I am shocked!~

Thank you for the kind words

I was afraid the fly shots would get some ewwe's... Some people just dont like them. But your kind words and this Vivitar series 1 have inspired me to go buggin' more often.

And hopefully I can find some interesting subjects for you to look at.

I am so looking forward to bug and flower season, I got my 100mm 1:1 macro too late in the season last year to get any good macro shots with it. Got a lot with close focus but not the same as true macro. Sure appreacate these though. Excellant Photo,s. Did see my first honey bee of the season Sunday in back yard. Not sure what he was looking for though. Maybe some fruit peels there. jim

That are very nice macros Gus, love the flies. Thanks for posting them and we here just have to wait a little while longer for the critters to wake up.

Take care,
