Best of the Best with my K100d
Lens: Super Takumar 35mm f/3.5, Sigma 18-35 f/3.5-4.5 Camera: K100d Photo Location: N AZ, S UT ISO: 200

Hey everyone, as I am passing on the backup camera to someone else, I have put together a tribute. Here are what I think are the best of the best images to come out of my K100d. I believe all these were all (except Rainbow Bridge-- with my Sigma 18-35, and the flower, which was my SMC-M 50mm f/1.7http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7309/10732091535_a7939f28f2_c.jpg) done with my Super Takumar 35mm f/3.5. The only editing was for White Balance and Contrast... Still shaky with removing sensor dust blobs, so sorry about the floating blob in the sky from Sunset Crater. I almost always shoot landscape between f/5.6 and f/8-- last shot was half past f/11 for DOF. All shots ISO 200.

You will be missed K100d...

Got incredibly lucky with lighting on this one. No HDR or fancy tricks, just a nice lens, rocks, and beautiful lighting:

The best for last:

I really like the last two. But somehow I have an urge to go knock one of those old, ancient rocks off their base. For safety reasons, of course. Maybe I can get some Boy scouts to help me.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! The last two belong to my favorite photos I've ever taken, regardless of camera.

Bahaha. It was a little scary out there, actually. It had just rained a decent amount, and this was only a couple days after some monsoon flooding. The wet mudstone had the consistency of wet chalk. When it started raining again, we briefly took shelter under a massive one... It was practically eroding before our eyes, though! You could rub your finger across the wet ground and have your finger dig right in. Thankfully, it felt a bit more solid after the sun came out to dry it =)
